Privacy policy
Last updated 5 October 2026.
Who we are
Astra Gaming ("we", "us") operates astragaming.net and the hosted products sold through it. This policy covers this website and its console. AstraGit and PageLens run on their own sites and publish their own policies.
What we collect
- Account: your username, email address and a salted hash of your password. Sessions are stored as hashes and expire after 30 days.
- Orders and reservations: the products, plans, components, forum addresses and domains you choose, and the email address you nominate as a forum administrator.
- Documentation projects: the repository address you submit and, for private repositories, a read-only access token, which is stored encrypted. Repository contents are fetched onto our runners to build your documentation and are not used for anything else.
- Balance and billing: a ledger of credits and charges on your prepaid balance. We do not store card details.
- Release list: your email address and the product you asked about.
- Contact form and self-hosting requests: your name or organisation, email and message.
- Feedback tracker (/bugs): the report type, title, description and any diagnostic text you paste. Optionally a name or handle, shown publicly on the report, and an email, never shown and used only for status updates. Reports and comments are public unless you mark a report private.
- Spam control: a one-way hash of your IP address on tracker submissions, and short-lived in-memory counters for rate limiting.
- Audit trail: a record of account and administrative actions on orders, domains and licences.
What your community's members give you, not us
If you run an AstraForum community, you are the controller of your members' data. We process it on your behalf to operate the forum, keep it in a database and storage bucket used only by your forum, and delete it when you cancel (after a 14-day grace period).
How we use it
- To provide the service you ordered and to keep it secure.
- To tell you about your account, your orders and releases you asked to hear about.
- To answer what you send us.
We do not sell personal information or share it with third parties, except where the law requires it. AI features run on models we operate; when a product uses an outside model provider for a feature you switched on, only the content needed for that feature is sent.
Release-list emails are sent once per release. Announcement emails carry a one-click unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately. Tracker notification emails carry their own link that stops emails for that report. Messages about your account or orders are part of the service.
Storage in your browser
We keep your sign-in token in your browser's local storage. Private documentation sites set a cookie limited to that site's path. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of your data or for your account and its data to be deleted. Use the contact form and we will act within 30 days.
